yea ive seen the new tweets and crap. nothing really exiting GDC was only worth i for the epic vid of gameplay other than that we wernt told anything new. Im not holding much hope for beta PC gamer USA had beta keys in the mag but i dont think were goona get anything like that witch sucks. Atleast diablo 3 is out vv soon :D. side note who is getting D3?

New lightning looks like a Hillbilly's cadilac of the future... turret should be towards the front to counter the recoil lifting the front, and the engine 'should' be housed in the back, unless -like the israel merkava tank- you want to protect the crew by sticking them behind the engine... nut hatever the reason, it shouldn't look naff, which in my humble opinion it does, I'd rather be seen in a pink jumpsuit than that tank... but then i'm Vanu, so I like pink jumpsuits!

Goddammit.

Looks like my awesome recap of media didn't make the migration!

No worries, it's all up on PS-universe if you want to see it.

Just a couple of things I noticed whilst watching TotalBiscuit's stream last Thursday night - cloaking uses a charge system similar to the jump jets of the light infantry - with it being depleted as you're cloaked - how fast it is used and how fast it recharges will depend on which cloak field you'll have. (No news whether there will be a PS style "infinite cloak but only pistols" option).

A recap on vehicle customisation, looks awesome, whether they tone the zebra stripes down a little is another matter (since there wasn't a great deal of empire colours there to help you out with friend or foe identification).

E3 looks like it'll produce a shed load of information - I'll try to get some of it recapped up here once I can.

Now, I'm back to spamming PS2-app invites out to my friends to get me a gold beamer!

Quick couple of things that have come up recently - 1. Liberator bombing has been comfirmed
2. Beta to start in the next couple of weeks (vets who have previously played ps will simply have their beta access activated, no need for a key!)

UK PC gamer has a key in it this month if you're in need of one.

Apologies that I've not kept this up to date recently - I've found the boards have been quite unstable for me recently (at possibly the worst time really).

There are a few things I can update you on, a few I'd like to but can't and a few things I can't be bothered to =P

So here goes,

Squads are back up to 10 men (currently 6) with platoons of 5 squads.
OS's are in as a squad leader cert.
Implants: Totalbiscuit has done a video on these (link to come) - basically you have ~3 slots 1 open at the start, one as you progress through ranks and another that unlocks through joining an outfit. These implants cost ressources and last a certain length of time before they are removed. Stuff like XP boosters are station cash only.
Scattermaxes are OP as hell.
Tech test is over, closed beta is starting soon appararently. As far as I know the waves are Current subbed players, Ex subbed players, "priority" beta keys holders (which appear to be anyone with a key), everyone else.

Awesome stuff CG as per usual. A few of us made it into the technical testing/closed beta phase and we've been squirrelling away on a new website specifically for the PS outfit which will be launched later this week hopefully, and then improved upon over the coming weeks. We also have a TS3 voice comms server up and running too. Details to follow soon!
