I`m making a site for CSS and wanted to use a portal are they good? what one does this site use?

This site is about 40/60 custom code, mixed with bog-standard php Bulitin Board system.

So it runs from a cms? something like php-nuke for instance?

Sort of yes. It's custom built by the Monkehs staff, but started out life as a simple forum only.

Nuke would be a place to start if you've not got much experience with coding php, especially when pulling a lot of database work.

The site IS a CMS by definition - it manages content, however it is very heavily modified and developed from any particularly recognisable CMS on the market - its a hybrid basically.

hmmm, I think its best for me to use a standard CMs, have alittle play with it. start from there. Thanks for help :)
