CS:S Ladder Tournament

Postby Deltex » 05 Nov 2005, 15:18

I would like to introduce all Monkehs CS:S players to a new CS:S Ladder Tournament just for Monkehs, Ill explain.

Monkehs CS:S Ladder is a permanent ongoing ladder where you can track your challenges, wins, losses and awards in one place. This should be good fun so if your a CS:S Monkeh, sign up :) here’s how you do it.

1. First follow this link https://login.arena.gamespy.com/ and sign up for a free account.

2. next, after setting up your details go to Monkehs CS:S Ladder
and click the Join this Ladder link in the About This Ladder panel on the right to be taken to the confirmation page. On the following screen, click "Yes" to join the ladder.
Or if your signing up for the Team Ladder please follow this link Monkehs Team CS:S Ladder

Both ladder passwords are madmonkehs

3. And finally participate in challenging other members to a game of CS:S :)

Details:
At the moment each challenge is an arranged 1 v 1 three round match. If you want a more prolonged challenge you may fight more rounds (e.g. 5 rounds) but the overall winner only receives one win for the challenge as a hole.

Please challenge players at the bottom of the ladder more to give them a fair chance and fun experience

You can fight your challenges on any CS:S server but please keep it fair 1 on 1 matches. (If allot more people join the ladder and everyone wants a new challenge this can be changed to team matches. I will explain this more in the future)

If you have arranged to fight on Monkehs.com server please be polite to any other players online. You may want to ask them nicely if they wouldn’t mind sitting in spectator mode while you and your challenger fight out your matches. (This ladder doesn’t give you priority)

Also I would like to point out that the Monkehs server has bots, you may fight with the bots on but the winning team will count as a win for the appropriate player (e.g. if both players are eliminated but the bots are still fighting, the winner is the team that wins)

Admins have the power to temporally kick bots for that map cycle so you may want to ask an admin to referee the match for you :)

Or even simpler you may want to fight on your own created server, might be a whole lot easier if the Monkehs server is busy.

Finally if you have any questions please feel free to ask me and ill do my best to answer them :)

Update: Just found out that I can’t change the 1v1 ladder to a team ladder so (if it’s wanted) ill make a separate team ladder in the future.

Good job on organising this deltex, I appreciate the time, and effort it has taken for you to look into it and set it up and work it out, and realise that it'll be a bit of work in the future, kudos to you sir!

B0fh, are you using Firefox? I had a lot of problems with gamespy.com using firefox. They don’t support it :( so I use internet explorer when I go there, that might solve the login problem.

Three more have joined :) Deadeye, Murdos and MasterAvatar

More than likely something to do with the firefox version and style etc e.g. Firefox and Opera use the same engine, but do different things ;)
